Lymphotoxin


A tumor necrosis factor family member that is released by LYMPHOCYTES activated by ANTIGENS or T-cell MITOGENS. Lymphotoxin is antigenically distinct from TUMOR NECROSIS FACTOR-ALPHA, though they both share common receptors, biological activities, and significant amino acid sequence homology.
